91 f- superduty headlight issues...
He all i'm new here but here we go... My wrecker is a 91 f-450 and the headlights are well not as good as they should be... I live and work way out in the sticks so i dont have street lights and all to help me out my headlights even on bright only show about 15ft in front of the truck and thats even stretching it a bit, both are the same... Heres what ive done so far...
Replaced both bulbs with new top of the line 9004 bulbs ( 50 frekin bucks).. A bit better but still cant see... Replaced headlight switch with junkyard one.. No change checked and cleaned all connections.. No change checked and cleaned all grounds.. No change replacd alternator.... No change new battery.. No change... Please help me out here... Only thing i havent done is replace the actual housings themselves however i am considering this as maybe the reflective chrome has lost its reflective? Only problem with that is a big wrecker push bumper/brush guard that is welded on the truck has to be cut off to get the headlight assemblies out... Maybe i'm missing something here? Feel free to put out your ideas even if ive already done i may need to re-check myself... |
