Default AC Compressor removal 2000 F250

Hello, I have a 2000 F-250 5.4L V8. A month ago the starter was unable to turn the engine over, so long story short, I replaced the starter unnecessarily and discovered that the ac compressor had seized. I am now in the process of figuring out how to remove it. I have released the pressure off of the system and am looking for a step by step sequence on where to go from here. I would say that I am average when it comes to mechanical ability, so please dumb it down a little for me. Thanks in advance for your help!

After some hard work and freezing in the cold, I was able to remove the compressor. If anyone could offer some helpful hints (i.e., how much compressor oil, how to purge the system, etc.) on the best way to recharge the system once I have the new compressor in, it would be greatly appreciated.

If the compressor came apart and/or any trash entered the system because of the failure the system should be flushed or the new pump could fail as well.. A good indicator would be to remove the orifice tube/filter and see if it is plugged/restricted or excessive trash there..
