Brake Grind

Hoping for a simple answer!! Front brakes grind on hard braking like they are worn down to metal on metal. Checked for stones in pads/on calipers. Nothing! Pads have lots of life left on them. Cleaned up parts with compressed air, and reassembled. Still grinds on hard braking. Ideas?

Hi, are both side of the discs in good condition? Not spotted or corroded.

Nic.

Rotors good. Clean. No grooves.

One side of the pads on the drivers side looked like it wasin slightlyrougher shape than the others, but not exessive. All 4 pads are the same thickness. Some brake pad material in the center groove, but nothing that I thought was exessive.Would it be a good idea to roughen the surface of the pads with emery in an attemptto "unglaze" them?
