Engine Noise????
 

I have a 1979 F250 Camper Special, Lariat with a 460, and the engine has started making a noise a little like when I used to put baseball cards in my bike spokes to make noise. It comes and goes, any ideas on what I can do? I'm going to start by changing the oil and using an engine flush, but beyond that I'm a little lost. Thanks for any help.

Are you sure it comes from the engine?I've had that same sound before caused by the air pump.Easy to check,remove the strap(belt)of the air pump and restart it.If it realy come from the engine,make sure you got fire to every cylinder.If its a sludged lifter,oil flush might work.Hard to tell since i can't hear it.
