F-650 pick up trucks

Anyone know the intended purpose of the F-650 pick up? I've seen two.

The first was on a local used car lot but judging from the mudflaps came from a New England Ford dealer. This was a short cab vehicle, painted a very darl green, almost black. The word "TONKA" was on the doors and I have a feeling it may have once served as a tow vehicle for the moster truck sponsered by Tonka Toys. (The Ford dealer would have been located just across the state line frm the old Tonka HQ.)

Second vehicle I spotted earlier this week, couldn't miss it in traffic. Bright yellow crew cab, current style front doors. It was in a shopping mall area at the time but there are a large number of contractors that reside not far from where the observation was made.

Looking at the two fuel tanks hanging below the body I'd say these vehicles carry about 80 gallons of fuel. Probably needs that to push those large tires, LOL!

The link didn't show as a hyperlink on the message board. Tried to cut and paste and it didn't go through.

Noting the word Super Cruzier" in the address I will assume you have a photo of the vehicle used to pull fifth wheel trailers. Those vehicles have a low, flat deck behind the cab. The two trucks I have seen have standard pick-up boxes and the frame is a lot higher off the ground then the Cruizer.

Funny thing, after all the hype about the Cruizer a few years back the local Ford dealer had exactally one with the round corner bed (as pictured in the Cruizer photos) and two with square cornered beds. Never found out if the two were later model Cruizers or knock-offs as this dealer ("The Largerst Ford Dealer in the World", ha-ha) is well known for selling knock-offs created by members of his family in another state.

The F-650 pickups you're discussing sound unique and seem to serve different roles. The "TONKA" themed one, possibly linked to promotional or tow duties, showcases the F-650's versatility beyond just being a heavy-duty truck. The yellow crew cab version hints at its appeal to contractors needing high-capacity vehicles for demanding jobs. These trucks highlight the F-650's capability to adapt to various needs, whether it's for work, promotional activities, or even just making a statement on the road.
