Default F250 Emergency Brake:

I have a 1997 Standard 250 with automatic. The emergency brake needs adjusting. How is this done and where are the shoes located? Help is appreciated! Rich

every vehicle I had the emergency brake line runs underneath on the drivers side to the back. And somewhere along that line there is a place you can tighten it up. It looks like a link where 2 cables come together

Thanks! I'll look for the connectors. Is the emergency brake on the drive shaft or the rear brake. I yhink I have disk all around. Rich

I am not sure about the bigger trucks are, my 1500 truck I had, had all disk brakes, and for the emergency brake, there were small drum brakes on the back as well just for the Ebrake.
