F350 6.9l diesel cold starting issue.

So recently i went to start up my truck in 40 degree weather. As usually i turn the key for the glow plugs a few times in colder weather like this. But tonight it took like over 20 times of turning the key and waiting to get it started. I got it to turn over after 5times of trying to start it. At this weather i have started it before with only having to wait maybe like 3 times of turning the key. Now the glow plugs all 8 of them were replaced in nov of 2014. Aswell as the glow plug controller. Could the plugs be bad already? Any ideas would be helpful or suggestions. Something to look into like that. Its a 1984 6.9l diesel f350. Very low miles. If you need some more information please leave a comment. This is my first post so if i left anything out that i shouldnt have please say so. Thanks everybody

Welcome aboard..

There should be a engine harness connector on the passenger side near the firewall. Connects engine harness to truck harness. They used to like to burn there. Might want to ohm test the glow plugs, and make sure the controller is supplying current even though replacements. OE Injection pump changed? many miles?
