Ford F250 HELP ME PLEASE!!!

Ok guys I have a 1994 F250 v8 automatic.
This past summer my linkage broke on my shifter so I replaced it, well it snapped again so I jb welded the piece so I didn't have to climb under the truck to shift gears. Well now about a month ago I went out to the truck to leave and nothing...it would not even attempt to crack over like I had a dead battery. So I began to start the truck by under the hood next to the battery I just use a screwdriver to manually start it, fired up every time.
Now today I went to BP, came out to leave and it cranks over but nothing.
I smell fuel so Ik it's getting gas through the lines.
What can this be? I can not afford a shop and can not afford to be down right now this is my only transportation. Any advise would be awesome!

It is always a good move to check ALL the fuses. Also check the shift lever down at the bottom of the steering column inside the vehicle. If that arm's bolts get loose the system does not know if the vehicle is in gear or not.

It's cranking but not firing. Thinking maybe coil pack?

You could try using a test light and check for power to the coil and coming out of the coil primary winding. If you have that you may need to have the ign module tested.
