Welcome to the site..

What's the reason for changing back to conventional oil?
Either way,, switching back to conventional oil won't harm the engine, in fact, many synthetic blended oils are just that a combination of the two type oils. When the oil is changed, oil remaining in the head gallery's and HPOP remain, so, technically it would be more of a blend to a lesser degree.

Or with time/top offs and regular services, the oil would be replaced under dilution.
Same goes for when the truck was new with its OE fill,, and was changed up for synthetic, not all the oil was replaced on the initial swap..

Back when the questions came up,, if running synthetic and you were found to be critically low and weren't carrying any extra, had no option to purchase synthetic in route, what was the option? Answer was to use conventional oil and make the correction on the next oil drop..

Synthetic has its advantages, heat/fluid shear degration, very resistant to viscosity breakdown, better cold oil flow, chemical contaminants etc., but my 6.0 I've always changed the oil every 3-4K. 3K may be extreme to some, but you can't hurt it by changing it too much. I've known synthetic users that extend their service drain intervals way out, which tends or can lead to other things getting overlooked.

The myth of damage is just that, but a quality oil like the Delo 400 LE is fine...
My .02,, once swapped, is to stay with type and brand (even though some may be re labeled) and of course no bargain based filters..
