Default fuel milage on 7.3

I was wonder what the fuel milage for a 2003 f250 56000 miles7.3 ltrshould be. It has a 3.73 rear end. People are telling me that their truck the same thing is getting 22 mpg. I was just wondering if that is possible?? My truck is totally stock. Thanks for the help.

A reasonable number..

Depending on 2x4 or 4x4, STD cab, S/C or C/C, manual/auto trans, load/s including gear and passengers, driving habits, alltitude, gradesect.the 7.3 can pull 20+ per gallon.. The SD is about as aerodynamic as a brick slipping through the air.. High sustained speeds will shave off MPG quickly as well.. Pretty common for a bone stock 7.3 to under good operating condtions to crest 20 MPG...
