Default header problem

hey ive just got my truck back from a local ford mechanic. i put it in their for a complete tune up and to weld my header. when i got it back i started the truck up and i heard a ticking noise at the heade. i fe;t around to see if it was a leak but i couldnt feel anyleaks. does anybody no if this is something other than a leak. i have a 5.8 351 on a 93 f250. also does a tune up(plugs, wires, cap and rotor) and the tiny weld job cost 548.80 or is the guy just trying to get all the money out of as possible. replys would be greatly appreciated.
