Help! 2006 F350 interior lamps keep coming on while driving
Hello Everyone,
I'm new to this forum, but figured you guys could help me out. I have a 2006 Ford F350 6.0 that has been having issues with the interior dome lamps coming on or staying on while starting up or driving. I have no door ajar lamp illuminated so I don't believe it is a door switch. When the truck is off and dome lights are on the chime will also ding when I open the doors when truck is shut off like the key is still in the ignition. I have even replaced the key in warning switch that is on the ignition as that is what I thought was the problem. The weird thing is, after about 5 to 10 minutes the lamps will make a clicking noise a few times going on and off and eventually they will go out and stay out the rest of the time. When I shut it down and things cool down the lights will just randomly come on. Even if the dome lights are off when I have truck off and shut the doors. A half hour later they will come back on. Is there a relay somewhere that could be bad? Is it my GEM module? I feel that something gets warm enough and creates a good enough contact that it works again. Would really appreciate your help as unplugging the battery cables every time I get somewhere is getting old fast. TIA |
