Help anyone that might have a idea
Heres a little history on this
Got this Motor in a f350 for a Dump that has a blown cleveland 400 Drained the oil out of the 460 etc put a new Intake Manifold Gasket in .... Started it up and its blowing a soapy foamy water out of the heads where the drains are when its under pressure. Could this be a blown head gasket? wth.... thanks for any help on this what a nightmare grrrrr |
RE: Help anyone that might have a idea
Post is a little confusing..
The 400 was not actually a 'cleveland' mill.. The 351M/400 are the same engine family.. Was there water in the oil 'prior' to the intake gasket replacement? Or now.. Or a intake failure? Leaking on both right/left cylinder head/block deck area's? Same place? Any coolant bubbles with the cap removed on a cold/heated engine.. The 460 wasn't 'prone' to head gasket failures, but if you've pressureized the system and have coolant tracks or leaks from the deck area/s, right at the gasket line chances are their bad.. Did this engine have adequate coolant in the system.. No 'Tomato' soup coolant... |
