Hidden Storage

We currently have an 08 F350 Diesel (not 4x4) with a utility bed on it and also an 04 F250 4x4 V10 regular bed. My hubby was wanting to somehow combine the two trucks as we only use the F250 for towing our trailer to the desert. The F250 is in awesome shape but he really, really wanted diesel and we couldn't afford that when we bought this. Right now it's only got 37,000 miles on it. :)

We ran into some issues in CA with the utility bed, need a CA# and also has to be re-registered at DMV for how much weight he plans to not exceed. Which basically translates to more money. Once you take the standard bed off and put a utility bed on, it becomes a "commercial" vehicle and has a whole lot of rules behind. It's been like this since November when we bought it and we just got pulled over by CHP and ticketed (fix-it ticket). If we don't comply, next time will be a $2500 fine and impound of the truck until such items are corrected.

Anyway, thought about selling both of these trucks and getting one diesel, 4x4 but we have the storage issue.

I have been all over the internet looking for the type of tool box storage that is integrated into the side of the bed. So we would not have to remove the standard bed. I've seen them around town but cannot find ANY information on them.

Anybody know anything about these. Any info would be greatly appreciated.

Thanks,

April
