How do i get more power and better gas mileage?

I have a 78 ford with a 460 in it and I was wondering how I could get more power and better gas mileage. i was also wondering around how much it would cost to switch engines with my 77.

Simple. Take off all the doors, hood, bed and all the sheet metal. Take off the air cleaner, muffler, water heater, fan and thermostat. Add 120 lbs to the tires. Toss out the spare tire. Take out all but 5 quarts of oil and only 2 gallons of gas. Junk the seats and use a plastic chair. Remove the side mirrors, antenna bumpers and door handles. Last, pull out the 460 and put a Prius engine in it's place.
