New Engine for 2011 F250/350/450 trucks

I have been told that a new engine will be introduced in 2011 for the Superduty trucks.

Any truth to these rumors??

That sounds like a 'for-sure-prediction'. And what size will it be. I understand it might be around 6.7??

Ford is currently in R&D of their own build code named 'Scorpion' diesel.. It may retain the PSD name in production.. It's supossed to be a 6.7 liter, 390 Hp, 720 pounds of torque (or more) and may be a urea burner or has been tested as part of the R&D I believe, to get it to meet the low NOX emission standards.. Problem with that, is the availability of Urea fueling as certainly it will eventually be part of the new age diesels.. Dual turbo like the 6.4, aluminium heads and some other changes, as well as bolted up to a new six speed auto trans.. Their claiming (we'll see) as much as 3 MPG mileage increases which would certainly help sagging sales due to the flat mileage of the latest contender.. It's supossed to be out next year..
