Default Power door lock

I havea 2001 F-350 SD. When any door lock/unlock button is depressed, the actuator(s) engage but the locks won't move up or down. You can see the lock move slightly but won't move all the way to lock or unlock. This happens with any button, on the driver or passenger doors. Because you can hear the actuators/solenoid engaging, I would assume this is not the problem. Also, because it happens with both doors, I would think that both switches could not be bad, although I bought the truck like this, so who knows. Could there be a grounding issue, if so, does any oneknow of problem areas, I could begin to look. Any help would be appreciated.

I have a 2000 F350 crew cab with the same problem except the only difference is the door locks on both the front and rear driver side doors work fine but both the passenger side doors only slightly move when you actuate the door lock switch on the driver side. I have tested the switches and played with the grounds but to no avail. I will keep working on it and see what happens but if anyone has had this problem and found a fix it would sure be appreciated.
Thanks, Ed

Multiple door lock actuator/sfailures aren't all that uncommon... If the lock pull just 'jumps' most likely the actuator...

I had the exact same problem with both doors, as well I bought the truck with that problem. I replaced the actuators and they work like a dream.
