Default tranny service now no go

Hi everyone
I have a 2005 f350 5.4 Triton

just did a basic tranny service ( changed internal filter and new fluid)

after that my wife was backing out of the driveway and the truck went into fail safe and no acceleration at all

replaced tps sensor and truck worked fine for a couple days then it happened again.

could this be an issue with not enough tranny fluid in transmission?

usually if the tranny is low on fluid it will start slipping the engine will rev way up and the truck won't gain any speed nor will it shift into the next gear

if it,s too low on fluid it won,t move ! warm up the engine and check the fluid ! if it,s too low on fluid then the front pump can,t pick it up !

fordsfun,

You're not going to like this , but I would suggest you remove the trans pan again and make sure the filter is where it belongs and make sure the new seal is where it should be too.

I agree with Hanky, but another thing to consider is if this really has no acelleration when the gas is pressed, and the engine isn't freewheeling (a trans. concern), then check the throttle body. The TPS kinda makes it sound like that, because usually (NOT ALWAYS) if the filter fell off in the bottom of the pan, then it would n't have moved right after the service. Just food for thought!

yes it very well could be that it don,t have enough fluid ! check the fluid on a level surface after the engine gets warmed up ! sounds like there,s not enough fluid in it !
