Rear main seal leak
?? how do i fix a Rear main seal leak on 2000 f 250 7.3 diesel 4x4 what are the requirements...or how many hours from a ford repair shop to fix this problem? Thanks for any input.

Sure its the rear main? Other places for the 7.3 to bleed oil that 'masks' as a rear main. Have you looked into the engines valley for pooled oil, HP oil leaks, or turbo pedestal? Any oil there will migrate to the back and on down... |

Look at the fuel drain valve on the back side of the engine fuel filter. It is often the source of a seep/leak. Fuel puddles, sloshes down the back of the engine and looks like a rear main oil seal leak.
