Default replacing rod & main bearings in 89 5.8L, f250

How accessible is getting the oil pan off and getting room to replace these bearings? Do I need to remove the intake plenum to provide room for jacking the motor up? Will the PS valve cover have enough clearance between the heat/a/c blower motor housing?
Thanks,
Mike
