Rough Ride

I have a 2004 F350 Dually (6.0 turbo diesel) and I recently purchased a 38 foot living quarters goose neck horse trailer. It weighs approximately 10,000 lbs. When I hooked it up, it dropped the backend approximately 6-8”, which raised the front end. When going down the road, specifically starting and stopping, it bucks and hops. The horse trailer dealer said that I need to install suspension air bags to level out the truck, which should correct this. Does anyone know if this is true or some other way to fix the problem? Thanks

RE: Rough Ride

You should put those bags under the rear suspension, and when you're not towing let some air out of them so the ride quality stays the same as it was without the bags. That's pretty big even fora one ton truck. Make sure that most of the weight(not all ofit) in the trailer is over the axles. That also helps. (proper weightdistribution)
