Default transmission compatibility, 351W and 7.3L diesel

Could anyone tell me the answer to a transmission compatibility question? I have a 1990 351W from an E250..... will this bolt to a 7.3L diesel in a 1990 F250? I can see that the transmission type/appearance is the same... don't know about function and bolt pattern. Thnx.

Are there any compatible transmission bolt patterns for the 7.3L diesel or strictly 7.3L only? Are the 7.3L IDI and the DI engines at least share the same bolt pattern? Thnx.
