Wierd Transmission Issues

Today my truck started doing something strange. I was waiting on a train today and put my 06 F250 6.0 in park. When I went to put it back in drive, I noticed the check guage light was on and so the temp guage was way up there. So I pulled over and started thinking. I had reprogrammed my truck a couple days ago and something didn't seem right about the upload so I put it back to stock and it looked ok. I drove a few miles and all of a sudden the temp on the transmission jumped up again. Pulled over and waited 10 to 15 minutes. Then it registered a normal temp again and drove a couple miles and it went back up. At this point I had someone just pull me home.

Do you guys have any idea what could cause this? Could it be the programmer? Could it be the transmission heat sensor?

So I decided I would check and change the transmission filter so I took it off only and went and bought another one. When I went to buy the Transmission fluid I did not realize it was going to be a scavenger hunt to find the correct fluid. It requires the SP fluid. Where do you guys get your tranny fluid?

RE: Wierd Transmission Issues

Sooner......That's MERCON SP fluid. Any parts house should have it, or FORD, but it might be slightly higher priced.

O'Reily's, NAPA, nor Advanced Auto parts carried it.
