2007 Ford 500 V6 Wiring Harness Issues
Hello, how is the wiring suppose to be connected

I am not particularly familiar with the 500 engine, so I dont know off the top of my head what those wires are. I dont know what sensors are under the intake manifold. Looking through the engine wiring harness diagrams I do not see any sensors that has two green/white wires. Are the wires going under the intake manifold smashed under there or are they loose as if there they are designed to run under the manifold? Do you know what PCM fault codes are present? How does the vehicle start/idle/drive/accelerate?

Has 240k on it, I'm second owner; 1st owner little lady did absolutely nothing to motor, so these photos show wiring harness stock as manufactured. There is a green and white wire that is seen as a 3 1/2 inch loop; looped for a reason I don't know. Speculate Ford planned to do X mod with the wiring at some point (and so put a loop in to access some electrical something next year model?). I would ballpark your harness has been fiddled with through the hands of man; maybe the original owner can still recall ... the why? Scott asks the question!!

E-Bay has had any number of 3 volume factory shop manuals for sale as sets, some separated, with one volume being "Wiring." I only have barnyard electrical skills: my first step on your car would be to electrically connect the two stripped green/white leads that come out of your car's wiring harness (to electrically remake the loop shown in my car). See how car runs.
Don't have a good feeling about wires intending to be run under a manifold, so I'd leave them alone for now |
Well the two wires actually being one looped would make sense why its not on the wiring diagram.
I concer, for now ignore the wires that are under the intake, use a butt connector or solder to connect the two wires poking out the harness, you may need to cut open the harness more to have enough room. |
Resolved
It turns out the two front wires were related to the fuel injection as both wires on the back of close up pic had no current and basically placed there for a possible future connection if required by Ford. Ty for your assistance

The side to side wiring at the bottom related to the fuel injection. The top wiring was tested by ASE certified mechanic and concluded no current ran through. They were just cut off as both bottom wired were connected. Car runs as normal. |
