Fuel Leak

My 2005 developed a fuel smell and I traced the leak to the Fuel Pump Assy. under the rear seat. It seems that the fuel line connector has a pin hole in it and it needs to be replaced. It is a 90 degree fitting with square flange on it. I cannot figure out how to remove it. My manuals don't help. The replacement is a little different as it has a squeeze clip. Also how to remove fuel line from the ****** end of the connector?

I've not done this; bet a photo here would help others.

To do this properly, go to your local auto supply store and ask for a fuel line release tool. They should be able to provide the correct tool for your vehicle.
Something you need to know, ,,,,,,,,,before you decide to open the connection make sure all the pressure is out of the fuel line BEFORE attempting to disconnect it..

If the pressure drops because the leak allowed it to drop , fine. If not, we pull the fuel pump fuse while the engine is running and allow the vehicle to run out of fuel, that reduces the pressure in the line so it can be safely disconnected.. Consider wearing some kind of hand protection because constant contact with today's gasoline is not good for us.For folks who don't know, IT is BAD for us to be in constant contact. When done replacing the line , don't forget to reinstall the fuel pump fuse.
