You might have to take it to a Ford dealer so they can retrieve the code with the computer. It may cost around $60.00 to do it though.

Not sure if it is in the same spot, but on the freestyle(same platform) it is behind the fuse box. You have to look under the steering column and remove the three nuts that hold the fuse box. Don't unplug cables, just move the box so you can see behind it with a mirror. You should see the 5 digit code. Hope this helps.

I have also read before, in cars the number is in where the spare tire is. Not sure, but wouldn't take much to check out.

RE: keyless code????

Never mind all the drivel I just posted, I didn't notice the year posting wasn't this year! Sorry

If you know the dealer from where it was purchased new, they will have it in their files on the car. There is a factory combination that works and overides the customer set code. If the person who had it before you set a code you will need that factory code to clear out the previous one and set it to your own code. The car will revert to the factory code anytime the battery power is turned off for any reason, so the dealer should give you the code with no problem. Also the factory code will still work even if you have set your own code, so it would be a good idea to try to remember it also.

This is for all those who want to know,,(as I did) The code for the KEYLESS door opener,is located on the INSIDE of the cover over the CONTROL MODUAL,,(COMPUTER),, which is located under the dash in front of your left knee,(as you sit in the drivers seat)...
Good luck taking off the cover it is a real pain,,, but you my be able to just take out the 2 front screws ,pry it down and use a mirror... Good luck to all..
