what other size 17" tires will fit? anyone know? thanks...I have a 07 fwd 6sp auto sel

 

car or truck? welcome to the sight. what size do you have on there now? we need all numbers that read like this 225 75 R17

 

07 ford five hundred sel fwd has 215 60 sr17 factory size. I want to go a little narrower for winter.

 

if you can find them you can get 225 65 R17 they will be just a little taller and not as wide.The middle number is the width of the tire or the percentage of the side walls. the higher that no. is the smaller the tread width. but I must warn you that less tread width means less traction on snow and ice. that's because the surface of tread has less contact on the surface

Hi so would it be safe to change from 215/60/17 factory over to 225/65/17 on a 2006 ford five hundred car I already know it will offset a few things but will it rub or have any other issues thanks.
