I want to remove the transponder from my 2005 Ford five hundred key but I do not know the location or what it looks like.

Isn't that the chip in your ignition key? I did a search for the transponder, and all it showed was the key. It's inside the key. Those keys ain't cheap. This section is getting a little weak . When I joined here almost 4 years ago you could get an answer in a matter of hours. I own an '05 with 73K miles. I'll be hanging on to this 500 for some years (I hope). I found something regarding the key. To get to the "pill" the key needs to almost be destroyed.
