Hi Anthony,
How about some help from you,
What are we looking at , what engine ?
It does appear to be motor oil, but guessing doesn't work, so is that where the trans mounts to the engine or is it possibly from a transfer case if this vehicle has 4WD ?
Need more info, thanks.

2010 ford flex eccoboost

Im sorry about not being more specific on specs those are pics from ground up bottom of engine flex was smelling funny like as if it was overheating but was not showing on display that it was I noticed very small amounts of oil smaller than the size of a dime in my garage so I decided to climb underneath it and see where it's coming from and I cannot pinpoint it from the top looking down at the engine with the hood popped I can't find it either if you pop the hood and just looked you would think that nothing was wrong with it at all but from underneath there's obviously a leak I pulled the stick and it read low like way low on oil and I just had the oil service about a month-and-a-half ago my digital display was reading 50% oil life but the stick was reading about two more days until engine completely seized I'm glad I climbed underneath it

Looks like a FRAM filter on there...Ouch! If anything, at least us a MOTORCRAFT filter.

I would clean all of that off with a good cleaner like Simple Green. Don't be afraid to put the cleaner to it. The take it for a good drive and look for the leak. Clean good around the filter especially.

Yaa I know the fram filter sucks I told my wife when I was out of town and she went to get oil change make sure they put a motor craft filter of course she didn't though....I have a 01 f150 also and that's only filters I usually use it's weird though because I didn't ever notice any leaks on the vehicle until she went to get the service done

When I crawled under it and was looking around something told me check filter when I did I was able to turn it 2 and a half full turns until it was snug hand tightened

Sometimes we get lucky, and this was your time. Don't know if the service facility would have paid to have your engine replaced due to their work. Glad everything worked out well for you, thanks for the update.
