2001 Ford Focus Problems!!

Hi everyone,

Having some issues with my focus and would like some advice.

Recently had it fully serviced with everything it needed and also had the heater switch resister changed as it would only allow me to use it when on setting 4 "full blast" - Now that's been changed all the settings work just fine however it doesn't seem to get hot... Just stays cold/warm at max.

Someone mentioned the pollen filter, but this was changed during service only a week ago.

Also showing "coil pack" and "2nd lamda sensor" on diaog tool.

I have MOT in January and im concerned on how much i need to spend to get it to pass..

Any advice/Help??

Many Thanks

John "WundA"

Hi John,
There is a simple check you can do and that is , after the engine has run for about 15 minutes check the 2 hoses that go inside to the heater. They both should be hot to the touch. If so, there may be a problem with the blend door on the inside of the heater air passages.
If only one of the two hoses is hot , there may be a plugged heater core. If neither hose is hot there could be a problem with the thermostat being stuck open.
Let us know what you found.
