There is no easy way to do this right.
Don't know which engine you have, but the usually better option is to install a "Heli-coil". That is if we are talking about the internal threads and not the bolts themselves.
You can get this in kit form that comes with the correct drill size and thread installation tools. Chips and metal filings can produce problems if not carefully collected and preventing from getting into where they should not be. A lot depends on how much material is available to enlarge the hole to accept the repair.
Sometimes , the next larger size bolt can be used, but that again depends on how much stock is available and care exercised does not do further damage to castings.
I know you don't want to hear this, but there is always the option of head replacement.
If it is only the bolts, you can use a "thread chaser" to clean up the internal threads and use new bolts.
