Any explanations as to why my car will only start if I put pressure on my key while turning it?? Seems to be getting worse, and I have to really make sure I’m pushing on my key whole trying to start it.

 

There may be some worn parts in the upper steering column that the key tumbler operates.

 

You should not has to put pressure on the key so now; If you are your that your thumbler is good and the key is in good condition, well let check not the ingnition switch. do a test find the wire diagram and test the results at the back of the module of switch lets see what is happening when you turn that key. Remember find the diagram to see what are the results which wire has power or hot all times and which iit go to the starter motor when key is on to run position you should have power on the wire the goes to the solenoid yest an idea
