2011 Focus SES rear drums
 

I just did my brakes all around on my 2011 Focus and everything turn out great, brand new hardware all around. My only issue is the rear drum bearings hum/whine especially at freeway speed. I was wondering if anyone has a recommendation for a set drums that have a quieter bearing.

did you install the old bearings with new races?
did you use a new hub nut and torque to spec?

Everything is new minus the hub nut.

did you torque the lug nut to spec? Is it the type that stake in place?

was the noise present before the work was done?
does the growling noise change when swaying the vehicle to load and unload the bearing?

Do the tires have irrregular treadwear?
