Default 2015 Focus Automatic Transmission

Purchased a used 2015 Ford Focus SE Sedan, automatic transmission with about 20,000 miles on it. Great car and love it. Had it six months now with 40,000 miles on it. Like to do my own maintenance on all my vehicles. Never have had an issue changing my automatic transmission fluid and filter till now. I know the manual states not to change about 100,000 miles. I've always done mine around 40,000 mile intervals. Can anyone point me to an article on how to perform this. I know mine does not have a dipstick and there is nothing (transmission pan) that resembles the shape of the pan gasket that I purchased from Rock Auto. I've researched and understand the method of how to check the fluid level, but can find nothing on replacing the automatic transmission filter and gasket. Any guidance would be much appreciated.

Thumbs up

Welcome to the site..

Drain and fill only, and you would be way below service intervals. You'll need a suction pump gun to fill the trans and a ball socket extention works well to remove the fill plug..

My son has the same car. It is a manual trans you have and not an automatic. It is just shifted automatically (no clutch pedal). Be sure and read about our issues with the purge valve. I have it posted above this post.
