Default Sticking throttle

Hi, I own a T reg Focus 1.8LX, I have noticed that the revs take a long time to die down particularly when cold, all the linkage seems free and it has a strong return spring, so I was wondering if it might be a sensor somewhere playing up.
Any ideas please.

Default RE: Sticking throttle

How long ? As the weather gets colder the ECU will keep the revs higher to get the engine to operating temperature. Mine will run at 1100-1200 for a bit and drop down to 850-900 rpm.
