Thumping sound

I asked this question when i introduced myself in the new members section and did not get an answer. I figure this is a more proper place to post and get replies.

So...

I have leased 2 ford focus's over the past 5 years. (One 2004 model and the current one 2006)

Both of them have a low thump, while driving, emanating from somewhere in the vicintity of the trunk. I have checked the spare tire and all components to verify that everything is well secured. BUT THE THUMP IS STILL THERE. It cannot be anything specific on just this car, because my other focus(2004) did the same thing. This can get really annoying.

ONCE THE LEASE IS UP ON THIS FOCUS, I AM NOT PLANNING ON BUYING ANOTHER NOISY FOCUS.

Does anyone have any info??? Please help.

RE: Thumping sound

ok this is rediculous... None can even comment on this. I am looking for a good forum to discuss issues with cars, but to not get one reply within 2 different threads is not cool.

THIS WEBSITE SUCKS. NO THANKYOU AND GOODBYE... I WILL MAKE SURE TO TELL ALL OF MY FRIENDS NOT TO COME TO THIS WEBSITE.
