Transmission issue??

Hi new to the forum but i need some help...i was in 2nd gear yesterday and power shifted into third and now none of the gears will engage including revers...with the car running i can put it into every gear without pushing in the clutch almost like the car wasnt even on....wen it goes into gear it makes almost like a whinning sound...its a 2000 Lx 2.0 SOHC

It does sound like you may have torn the material off the clutch disc.
In any case the bell housing inspection cover when removed will reveal the cause.
If a lot of junk comes out when you remove the cover, that would confirm it.
The center of the disc may also be torn from the disc itself.
Welcome to the forum !!

Thats what i think happenedand im hopeing....is there any chance its the tranny??

The only thing in the trans that would allow what is happening, would be if you snapped the input shaft. That's why they usually make the clutch the weaker link.
If that input shaft is turning so are some of the gears in the trans and you would get some gear clash if you tried to shift it into any gear without using the clutch.

ok cool i definitely think its just the clutch then bc it does grind right before going into gear
