1997 Ford Dash removal

So I am taking my dash completely. Out of my truck and I'm almost done howver on the driver. Side there is a bolt tucked away in there and its way to small for a socket
How do I take it out

Usually a 1/4in drive socket will do the job with an extension. Some of them are 7mm or higher. I don't recall any that were smaller. Also, sometimes you have to remove sections to get at all the fasteners.

I understand that but this thing is like smashed in between the door frame and the dash and there is a lip blocking it

I should have read your post more thoroughly because I thought you were only removing the instrument section. Not having removed an entire dash board assy I cannot offer any worthwhile suggestions here.
