ABS Light while towing

While I'm towing my toyhauler with my 2006 F-250 Super Duty 6.0L diesel the ABS light comes on and trips off the cruise control. Brakes work fine, but light stays on the rest of the trip. When I disconnect the trailer the light goes out after it is restarted. I have the built in brake controller set to 2.5 any ideas what’s wrong.
