F-150 Acceleration Problem

I have a new 2010 F-150 Super Cab XLT. Has 3,000 miles on it now. When I am going around 25-30 MPH and put the pedal to the floor (like on an on-ramp to the freeway) it accelerates properly like it should. However, when I am going about 60 MPH on the freeway and need to accelerate rapidly to change lanes or for some other reason, when I press the pedal to the floor it takes 3 seconds (I've counted) to accelerate. This could be a serious issue if I were counting on that acceleration to avoid an accident. Anyone else having this problem?

Thanks
