Default FF suggestions

Hi, im new on this forum, but what i have found is quite disturbing. I just read a tech help article that was 5 months old, and had no responses to speak of other than the original authors. People on this forum i have notice are kinda uptight and not at all outgoing. Its sad that i can get more help not on the ford site, but on the cummins forum. This forum and its members(should they choose to join) have a responsibility to help other ford enthusiasts as much as possible. Get the word out, start deleting accounts that dont post. I suggest that whoever joins be subjected to the rules of the forum upon activation of their account and that a minimum post of 15-30 posts a month be required so that we can sort out wannabes and actual ford owners/enthusiasts. Please, any help/advice would be highly reguarded.

Hi Chris..

A lot of times folks come to sites like these to seek out and search the forum content and maybe post just to find a fix for a current issue and then move on until they appear once again on next problem.. Some are regulars here (depending on schedules/family) and are pretty sharp techs.. Others may have only the experience for the models they drive and work on, or used to..This site can be a tad slow on responses at times as you noted, and some posts/threads can and do fall through the cracks.. No one likes to see that happen, especially to a new member.. I used to frequent another Ford Truck site and haven't been 'over there' for some time now.. So,, if I had my account there deleted then there wouldn't be any option to help if I read a request, share in the Ford experience good 'or' bad, or maybe just say Welcome.. I've seen this site pretty busy, and knock'm dead on the technical replys and fixes.. On the flip side,, sometimes quieter than the local Home Center isles.. And I'd personally like to see the site busy with new members and daily chat between the current followers like now Also, remember that sometimes if a member uses PM option, they might have actually received not only a Welcome, but possibly some help behind the scenes.. I know this for a fact and have had some nice email/phone experiences.. My thought 'and' hope is to bring what ever you can to the table no matter what you post count is, and to take into account that there is strenght in numbers!!

Thanks for your input, and like you, I love to chat about my Fords past and present, and to help out if/when I can.. Available down time does get in the way, as I'm sure it can for most.. Although you may not always see the same 'User Names' here like some of the other places, I'm certain you'll find out this site can be a good source to tap into.. It has for me..

Take care..
