Fluids

Hello
So we all know how expensive cleaning fluids have become, paint striping, rust removal
etc: Here are a few DYI fluids that do a pretty good job, at a cheap price
For parts you can remove from the car, use Lye, 1LB of crystal to 5gal water
will remove grease, oil, and paint
To remove chrome from plastic or pot metal use Bleach straight from the bottl
again this is a soaking solution
Rust, use Vinegar, again straight from the bottle, let the parts sit over night,
and be sure to rinse all parts in clean water..
Another good rust remover is Phosphoric acid, runs about $40 gal here in LA
but it works great, and fast. Just be sure to rinse and scrub it off before it dry's
other wise it's like rock hard to get off
Hope this might help some of you
Best
PS: Read up on these items... some can be very dangerous.
