Default climate control seats

thank you for replying.ok so originally i had just manual control module with no powered seats . the ac worked untill i started the installment with the climate controlled seats. i isntalled seats from a 2012 .i also installed a 2011 dash heat control module.i even purchused a dash harness with the driver and passenger sunload sensors, humidity ambient sensor.the only thing i didnt do was make a hole for the hose that gos into the heater core box from the humidity ambient sensor.im alittle confused why ford would go from a ambient on the outside to a ambient ,humidity on the dash.also wired correctly .i followed the correct wire diagram from a 2011 and into a 2009.wired the blender doors to my existing 2009 harness.i dont have the drivers side blender door on my heater core box .so i wired in a drivers side blender door motor just to make it complete and zip tied it up.everything functions like it should but the ac clutch dos not come on.

When you get involved with CAN systems you will need a capable scan tool to program the system and let it know something has been changed. Depending on how the system network is wired, (Need a schematic diagram), you need to know what components are controlled by the HVAC module and if there is a gateway in the system before everything will respond. Sometimes it involves the IC (Instrument cluster) and that is why the scan tool is required. Because models differ from year to year , I'm not saying it can't be done, but it won't be easy.

I have a few extra thoughts:
1) The concept of climate controlled anything (air, seats, etc) is a constatnly changing thing at Ford.t
2) Humidity is monitored for comfort. 60 degree air at 96% humidity feels completely different then 60 degree air at 50% humidity. This is HVAC 101.
3) I'm not sure that even if a blend door motor is wired in if it will work; the dual zone HVAC really is conceived of as 2 seperate and parallel HVAC systems, each (up to a poinT) independently operated.
4) I haven't a clue about the clash of the harnesses and what the interchangability is.
5) You will definitely have to get a Ford compatible scan tool (Autel makes a fantastic one) and do some nosing around in the other various modules to make sure that a) they know that climate control is now installed; and, b) that the HVAC is configured correctly (i.e., that the hvac is programmed as single, or dual, and what inputs it needs to see).

This is not meant to dampen your spirits. I hope your real good at wiring, because without the compressor clutch engaging, then you're going to have to determine if its due to base A/C (low charge), or electrical (PCM not letting WOT relay engage or not engage, and the input from A/C to EEC from the A/C pressure sensor.)

Just some ideas. And dont worry; I'm pretty crazy myself; I'm installing factory keyless entry into my ****box 94 explorer.

Good luck!

Default installed climate control seats

I knew that is was can wired and that it was mostly the issue i just needed to hear it.everything is ran by them from the seats to the controls.i actually made me ten feet of it by twisting the to geother .worked great.thats not the problem .everythings wired correctly and functioning .i think hankys right .i needs to be plugged in to a scan tool.i do have the autolink but i cant get it to check modules or fix any issues with comunication between modules.might need to go to the dealer ship.they just take for ever with .i wont see it back for days lol.thanks And yes its been a difficult upgrade.i dont advise anybody try this out lol.i had done alot of home and wire chacing.even being someone who deals with wires as a accupation.there is alot in volved with changing seats with airbags and seat sensors.you need a good scan tool ,a wire schematic, modules and alot of wiring lol. thanks again for the help.

I suppose you might get a dealer to check it and maybe not because this is not a typical set up. Does the place that provided the parts have any recommendation for you to try?
Sometimes custom shops get involved with alterations and have a better idea of what may be required to get everything working correctly.I believe the problem can be solved , but with the new systems in vehicles these days just adding/switching parts can get somewhat complicated, to put it mildly!

Yup, that's true visiting the local dealer will solve your problem, since its most common for them. Also, there is an increased chance of error while you are using parts not intended for the system.
