Help with a purchase decision

Hello, I am a handyman with a 2005 E-250. It runs good and is in good shape overall. Currently has 125k miles on it. I’m hoping to get to 200k or potentially beyond. The frame is rusty but doesn’t have holes. I’m looking into a premium undercoating service $1200+ and wanted to get your thoughts if this is worth the investment and if my goal of trying to push it to 200k miles is worth it or would saving for a newer van be the better option? Thanks!

Can you do the rust removal yourself?
There are many products on the market today, that can remove rust, and prevent it.
A good high pressure wash jobs is the first thing to do
then find the rust and wire brush it was a power tool if possible
next remove the remainder of the rust... many products on the market...
under the truck you really need a jell type...
after that you need a 2k primer... then a top coat, then a rust preventer
If you have an under coating you might want to look at some of these that spread along the metal.
then finally a coat of undercoating...
If you have rust on a top area, you can use vinegar.. which dessolves rust (ask me)
I had rust on the roof of my 74 Dart, well vinegar runs, so I placed old towels on the area and soaked them
in the vinegar, then placed a plastic sheet of them.. took the rust away and only $2.57 a gal
