Led light bar help
 

I have a led light bar but it dose not go all the way across the roof and came with bolts. Any suggestions on how to secure it to the roof since I cannot do windshield brackets?

Either way , drilling would be best probly

What rig are you mounting it on?

Clearance lights, mirrors etc are generally attached with 'Rivet Nuts', Blind Rivet Nuts, or some call anchor nuts..
Simply drill the correct size hole, install the mandrill (1/4" or? ) of choice in to the guns nose, select the correct die/cap, and thread the Rivet Nut onto the guns mandrill.. Insert it in the drilled hole, and a hardy squeeze on the gun sets the nut. The threaded nuts barrel is ribbed on the OD and expands outward for bite into the sheet steel, collapses as it forms a nut on the underside pulling it tight against the under surface..

I just pulled this set off the net,, guns and rivet nut kits or just nut sets prices vary.. A quality gun is a good bet to set the nuts tight.. Drilling the hole for a snug fit on the nut as it goes in, a must.. Normally the kits will come with a drill sizing index.. They make Rivet nuts for thick and thin metals..

Thank you for your response! Its going on a 1992 f 150 custom

92 would have a drip rail,, an attachment there is possible, or on a bar etc.

I guess drilling will be the solution. You can attach an aluminum L Bar to the light bars and drill it to the roof.

If you are going to do any drilling, remember to use a sealer around the mounts. By the time water leaks in and rust takes over you could get a nasty surprise with that "drip=drip" sound.
