I have a 2004 F250 super duty xl and I need a new oil filter adapter. According to my vin number it says I have a Windsor engine and need part number YC3Z6881CA but I have a 5.4 Triton V8 gas engine so am I able to use part number YC3Z6881DA or do I have to use the CA part number number

 

What is the eighth digit of your vehicle's VIN?
If you have a 2004 it should be a 5.4 L.
