2006 Freestar won't rev past 3k rpm's

Hello all! Have a 2006 Freestar w/ about 105k miles. Relatively speaking, it runs great.

Yesterday, I had the oil changed and a smog test done. Passed the smog test no problem.

I drove 50 miles away to my parent's home and it drove fine. Drove home and about 1/2 mile from home I had to make U-turn. I did the U-turn pretty quickly and right when I did it the engine made a weird noise. Almost like the sound of a "squealing belt". Didn't really lose power or anything.

Today, that sound was gone but I notice when in "park" I can't rev it past 3000 rpm. The engine basically hesitates (stutters?) at that point. I took it on the freeway and it drove fine though.

Does anyone have an idea of why I can't rev it past the 3k rpm?

Thanks in advance!

How did you fix this

Just wondering how you fixed this. It seems to backfire and runs rough . Won't rev past 3000 rpms and no power over 60 kms

Thanks in advance![/QUOTE]
