How do I get the cover off the mirror head without tearing it up?Adjustment is intermittant and I want to check the wirring and connections.

 

Don't know what year Freestar you have. I have a 2004 and the right side mirror a hairline crack in it when we picked it up new. The dealer replaced the mirror by just popping the mirror out of the head. May want togo to the dealer and take a PEEK-SEE in the manual to double check.

 

It's a 2006 with power mirrors. The right side adjustsfine, left sideworks sometimes.
