Freestar Mileage Question - Why So Low?
 

I'm looking at purchasing a 2005 Ford Freestar for my family. It has only 75,000 miles on it and is in relatively good shape for a 12 year old vehicle (no visible rust, interior is in good condition, seems to start and drive well).

I've owned old Ford vehicles before and in general they've always lasted me well. As I've been researching this vehicle and looking at other ones for sale in my area an oddity came up.... there are a bunch of 2005 Ford Freestars for sale in my area with between 75,000 and 80,000 miles on them. This seems odd. Why so many 12 year old vehicles with low mileage?

Is there something I should be aware of on this vehicle and stay away from it? I feel like if there was a major issues they would have been for sale years ago... but why so few miles?

Sometimes a rental fleet gets replaced not by mileage alone, but on a rotational basis.
Usually these are grabbed up by folks that knew the vehicles, but some places won't release them locally and they get moved to other areas. Why not have your maintenance person check one out for you?
