I had to jump start my Freestar yesterday and afterwards the power doors and liftgate would not open using the key pad, overhead console controls or remote? I read somewhere that this has happend to someone else and it typically reads a DTC c1999. I took it to Autozone and they couldn't see the code since the "check engine" light wasn't on. The door motors engage when I manually open them, but not by the use of any remote. I called Ford and they want to charge me a diagnostic fee and then they say that my extended warranty doesn't cover the reset of the code since it is an "adjustment". I tried disconnecting the battery for about 10 minutes, but that didn't help. Someone told me to try it for a hour or so?
Any ideas?
